DIY anti-static spray
I absolutely dread getting static electricity in my clothes. It’s annoying and it totally ruins the look of an outfit. I’ve also noticed lately that more designers are using polyester instead of silk and static and polyester go hand-in-hand – argh!
So in an effort to say goodbye to static forever I went on a mission to find a solution.
I remember an old friend telling me about this easy home recipe and after playing around with the quantities I’ve now got the perfect formulation. It’s amazing and well worth trying. I also love making anti-static dryer sheets which are super handy for when I can’t dry my clothes outside in the fresh air. So take a look at my short video below to see how I make them.
ANTI-STATIC SPRAY
You will need:
2 Tbs liquid fabric softener
1 Cup water
Spray bottle
Method
Pour water and liquid fabric softener into spray bottle and shake well.
To use:
Shake bottle before each use and lightly mist on your clothes whenever static occurs.
Tips:
I decant some of the mixture into a smaller spray bottle to keep in my car for emergencies.
If you don’t want any smell choose a fragrance-free liquid fabric softener.
Don’t spray on silk or dry-clean-only fabrics.
You can even lightly mist your car seats to avoid static getting trapped in your clothes.
